Fence
It was time to take it under protection with fence. After leveling the mountainous land I purchased in Manisa Turgutlu Dalbahçe, At this stage, I needed to surround the land with a solid wire mesh fence.

Creating a Secure Area:
My aim was to protect my orchard from both wild animals and unauthorized entry. Therefore, it was important to choose a strong and durable wire mesh system. I found the most suitable option by doing price research and examining the offers of different companies.

Determining the Boundaries:
Before starting the wire mesh installation, the exact boundaries of the land had to be determined. For this, I agreed with a surveyor. The engineer used a GPS device to determine the corners and boundaries of the land and drove stakes to mark these points.
Wire Mesh Installation:
Once the boundaries were determined, the wire mesh company got to work. The posts were firmly buried in the ground and then the wires were stretched and fixed to the posts. The next day, the posts were painted. This process was aimed at protecting the posts from rain and weather conditions.

Result:Fence Construction Steps
Building a sturdy fence for your garden can enhance privacy, security, and the overall aesthetic of your outdoor space.
Step1:Planning and Measurement:
- Determine the dimensions and perimeter of your garden: This will help you calculate the length of the fence required.
- Choose the fencing material: Various options are available, including wood, metal, PVC, or concrete. Each material has its own advantages and disadvantages. Consider your budget, style preferences, and maintenance needs when making your choice.
- Decide on the fence height: Fences serve different purposes, such as privacy, security, or pet containment. Select a height that suits your specific needs.
Step 2:Material Preparation:
- Select appropriate materials for fence posts: Common choices include wood, metal, or concrete. Concrete posts offer the highest durability, while wooden posts can be more aesthetically pleasing.
- Prepare concrete posts (if necessary): You can create your own concrete posts by constructing wooden forms, inserting rebar, and pouring concrete.
- Prepare fence panels or slats: Choose from wood, metal, PVC, or chain link panels. Different sizes and styles are available.
- Gather necessary fasteners: This includes bolts, screws, nails, and metal brackets.
Step 3:Post Installation:
- Space posts evenly around your garden’s perimeter: The distance between posts depends on the width of your chosen fence panels or slats.
- Dig appropriate holes for each post: The depth of the holes should be about one-third the height of the posts.
- Set and secure the posts: Place the posts in the holes, ensure they are plumb, and backfill with concrete.
- Allow concrete to cure: This typically takes 24 hours.
Step 4:Attaching and Securing Panels or Slats:
- Fasten fence panels or slats to the posts: Use bolts, screws, or nails to securely attach the panels or slats to the posts.
- Avoid gaps between panels or slats: This will enhance the fence’s sturdiness and security.
- Add additional supports if needed: For tall or long fences, consider installing extra posts or horizontal braces.
Step 5:Finishing Touches:
- Install decorative elements on top of the fence: You can add barbed wire, fence caps, or finials for an enhanced look.
- Paint or apply a protective coating to the fence: This will extend the fence’s lifespan and weather resistance.
Step 6:Maintenance:
- Inspect the fence regularly: Check for any damage or loose connections.
- Make repairs as needed: Replace damaged posts or panels and tighten loose fasteners.
- Keep the fence clean: Remove leaves and debris, and wash the fence when necessary.
Additional Tips:
- Use a utility locator before digging: This will help identify underground utilities and prevent damage.
- Discuss fence placement with neighbors: Obtain their approval and ensure compliance with local regulations.
- Secure necessary permits: Check with your local authorities for any required permits.
- Consider professional help for complex or large fences: Hiring a qualified contractor can ensure proper installation and safety.
By following these steps and considering the additional tips, you can build a sturdy, durable, and aesthetically pleasing fence for your garden.
After the wire mesh installation was completed, I had more clearly defined the boundaries of my land and ensured its security. In this way, my orchard was protected from wild animals and unauthorized entry. At the same time, the wire mesh also highlighted the shape of the garden, giving it a more aesthetic appearance.
The wire mesh installation I completed at this stage brought me one step closer to my dream orchard. In the next stages, processes such as planting fruit trees and installing an irrigation system will be carried out
